4:30 am

Here I sit, having given up on ever sleeping again in my natural life. Nine times I have had to get up with the kids, and finally I just gave in, ate some cereal, and decided to write a short post since it has been so long. Having three children under the age of four definitely has its challenges. I am exhausted all the time it seems. I have never in my life had such bad dark circles under my eyes, and I think I look older than I ever have in my life. (children really do age you...it is a fact!) I do love them though, and they give me a lot of joy.....especially when they are sleeping....peacefully....think I will TRY to do the same...........or perhaps I need to get some painting time in before the chaos starts......decisions decisions

What a great Mom you are Dawnae! I'm praying you get some sleep (or at least some time to paint) soon. I once asked Grandma Zobrist how she handled having three kids under 2 years old. She told me she cried a lot.

Nine times??? Was someone sick? Hang in there! I am happy to see a blog post from you - but not happy you were losing sleep to do it. I don't think I've ever had cereal at 4:30 am.

It's good to hear from you, Dawnae, even if it's under duress. I hope you get some solid, decent sleep soon. I remember when I had an infant. I would sit in Relief Society and drip with envy at all the moms with "older" kids because I knew those moms were sleeping. That's all I wanted - sleep. So did you paint?

Good for you on a blog post! Even if it comes from lack of sleep...look how productive you were being:)
sleep comes again someday...I am hoping, that is.

I can relate! This is an exhausting stage of motherhood with little ones, but we both know (although it doesn't seem like it at times) that this stage will pass. I hope you were able to go back to sleep or get a nap in during the day. Taking care of kids on such little sleep is hard!

It is the lack of sleep that is the greatest motivating factor to not have any more children!!! :) Glad to hear from you though. I hope you did get some painting in.
