Belle is just so funny sometimes. Tonight we were saying our meal time prayer, and Allen must have gone on a little too long. Half way through the prayer, Belle announces "The End", very matter of factly. As the prayer continued, it became louder, until he finally said AMEN! We had a little chuckle over that one.
Today is a holiday in Utah. Pioneer day. It is just like the fourth, parades, fire works, and bbq's. I reflected on a pioneer ancestor on my mother's side of the family. Her name was Elizabeth Shuster Barclay. She really was an amazing woman. My mother was lucky enough to have inherited her journal. She left Pennslyvania with her husband in a wagon with their small infant. They traveled to Kansas, and had many adventures along the way. The pioneers sacrificed much for their posterity. I am really glad that we have a day to remember them.

Sounds like a fun day! That's really cool that your mom has such a treasured family heirloom.
Sounds like a lot of fun.
How cute that Belle said "The End" in the middle of the prayer. Maybe she was too hungry to wait!
It is hard to sit through a wordy blessing on the food with the food in front of you smelling yumm-o!
Too cute!
